  1. That last link was fascinating – a review of a book which I, after reading the first quote (about the endless parade of sports on the silk of a woman’s dress), would NEVER even consider reading. I think you either want the substance of the story to penetrate the reader’s mind with the bare minimum of hitches (the way I try to write) or you deliberately make it impossible. Why?

    Still, interesting to think it exists.
